The Memorial to the signing of the Magna Carta by King John at Runnymede is the generous gift of members of the American Bar Association. It draws attention to the previous absence of anything to mark the foundation of British & American Liberty that was laid at Runnymede on 15th June 1215.
When Runnymede Borough Council decided to renovate the domes waterproofing, the appointed specialist roofing contractors, Dual Roofing (London) Limited of Uxbridge, selected Thermaweld copper faced roof waterproofing membrane as the most appropriate material. The upper surface of the Icopal product will age naturally & take on the familiar green patina that makes a copper roof so attractive.
